BJ Penn’s comeback did not end this past January as some thought might be the case, as the UFC has announced that the legend will take on Dennis Siver, June 25th. The featherweight battle will be part of a Fight Night card that’s going down in Oklahoma City on that date.
Penn (16-11-2)returned to the Octagon this past January, for the first time since 2014, and was stopped by Yair Rodriguez in round two. The loss was the former lightweight and welterweight champ’s fourth in a row.
Siver (22-11) is coming off a decision loss to Tatusya Kawajiri in 2015, and has gone 1-3, with 1 no-contest, in his last 5 fights. Penn and Siver were booked to fight last June, but the latter had to withdraw due to injury.
The UFC has also announced that Johny Hendricks (18-6) will take on Tim Boetsch (20-11), and that Felice Herrig (12-6) will face Justine Kish (6-0) at the upcoming event.
