Bellator 177: Leandro Higo Misses Weight, Bout With Eduardo Dantas no Longer Title Fight

Bellator 177

One of this weekend’s more interesting fights is no longer a title bout, as Leandro Higo has missed weight for his scrap with Bellator bantamweight champ, Eduardo Dantas.

The two will battle in the headliner of Bellator 177, which will go down tomorrow in Budapest, Hungary. But, since Higo weighed 139 for the fight, the contest is no longer a championship one. Dantas, meanwhile, came in at 134.6.

Higo, it should be noted, agreed to take this fight in March, when Darrion Caldwell had to withdraw from Bellator 177 due to injury. Higo is LFA’s bantamweight champion.

Here are the complete weigh-in results for Bellator 177 and Bellator Kickboxing 6 (the latter is also taking place in the same venue).
