Georges St-Pierre Reports He’s Never Been Bigger as he Prepares For Michael Bisping Bout

Georges St-Pierre will almost certainly be the smaller man in the Octagon, when he battles Michael Bisping, but by the time the fight takes place, the difference in size might not be too, too much.

St-Pierre will face the middleweight champion at a date yet to be determined. Bisping has campaigned hard for the bout to go down in early July, but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen. It’s been reported that part of the reason for that, is because GSP hasn’t fought since 2013, and he wants to make sure he’s ready. It’s also clear that the former welterweight champ wants to bulk up as well.

Well, speaking of the latter, recently St-Pierre did a photo shoot and online Q&A for Hayabusa. While doing so, the Canadian star reported this (quote via Bloody Elbow):

“I have always been the same weight. When I knew that we were going to fight Michael Bisping, when I signed the contract, that’s when I decided to put on a little more weight,” St-Pierre said. “I won’t be able to put a lot, because I’m a natural guy. But I’m already a little bit bigger than I was.

“I’m the biggest I’ve ever been right now in my life. Bisping will still be bigger than me, but I’m confident that this will help.”

If you look at the vid below, then you can see that GSP has definitely put on some size. Of course, this shouldn’t come as a surprise. Bisping isn’t the biggest middleweight out there, but he’s not small for the weight class either. After all, he did make his way into the UFC fighting at 205.
