Eddie Alvarez Hopes to Get Nate Diaz “Off His Bicycle” And Back in The Cage

UFC 211

Eddie Alvarez will battle fellow lightweight contender Dustin Porier this Saturday, but the former champ also has his sights set on Nate Diaz.

Alvarez will take on Poirier at UFC 211, which will go down in Dallas, Texas, While speaking to MMA Fighting’s Luke Thomas recently, Alvarez had this to say about the bout, and Mr. Diaz (quote via MMA Fighting):

“The UFC’s pretty crazy. There’s a couple other guys in front of me but it really depends on how you fight and what kind of show you put on. But I don’t care. I want to knock out Dustin and then I want to get Nate Diaz off his bicycle and get him back in the cage in some way, shape, or form.”

Could a bout with Diaz materialize? Maybe, although, based off recent comments both the Stockton fighter and Dana White have made, it doesn’t sound like Diaz will be fighting anytime soon.  First things first, however, and that’s getting by Poirier.
