Bellator 179: Rory MacDonald Taps Out Paul Daley

Rory MacDonald

Rory MacDonald’s Bellator debut went as according to plan, as he defeated Paul Daley, in what was the UFC veteran’s promotional debut.

MacDonald tapped out Daley with a second round, rear-naked-choke, and in doing so, scored his first victory since 2014.

The Canadian fighter was fighting for the first time since last June, when he lost via decision to Stephen Thompson. Following the fight, MacDonald entered free agency, and the renowned welterweight signed a multi-fight deal with Bellator.
