Bellator has added another, former UFC champ to its roster, as Frank Mir’s reporting he’s signed a multi-fight deal with the promotion.
The 38 year-old Mir announced the deal during the latest episode of his Phone Booth Fighting podcast. Since Mir is still serving a two year suspension from USADA, which is retroactive til March, 2016, the heavyweight won’t make his Bellator debut until next year (Mir has repeatedly denied knowingly taking banned substances).
So, that’s an interesting addition for Bellator’s heavyweight division, which also features the likes of Matt Mitrione, Roy Nelson and Fedor Emelianenko.
Mir was knocked out by Mark Hunt in his last outing, and is 2-3 in his last five scraps.
