Not long after the world was rocked by the news Jon Jones has been notified of a potential doping violation, Dana White reported the UFC was looking at having him fight Stipe Miocic.
White met with reporters after news of Jones’ USADA flag was announced. During the scrum, he said the UFC was considering having Jones fight the heavyweight champ, possibly at UFC 218, December 2nd in Detroit. Barring a quick, successful appeal for Jones, however, this won’t happen. It should also be noted that Miocic’s still holding out for a better deal from the UFC.

Jones returned from a one year suspension in July, and reclaimed the 205 title at UFC 214, by stopping Daniel Cormier.
