Conor McGregor appeared to be okay, following his stoppage loss to Floyd Mayweather on Saturday, but the UFC champ’s received a short, medical suspension.
The highly anticipated bout was brought to a halt in round ten, after Mayweather hit McGregor with repeated punches to the head. According to a recent report from MMA Fighting, the Nevada Commission has announced that McGregor’s been handed a 60 day, medical suspension. The Irish star cannot spar (with contact) until October 11th.
So, obviously this doesn’t mean McGregor won’t fight before the year is up. But, if he does, chances are it won’t be until late December.
