After Ray Borg was forced to drop out of his UFC 215 bout with Demetrious Johnson last weekend, the flyweights have reportedly been rebooked to fight at UFC 216.
Shortly before Borg was supposed to fight the flyweight champ on September 9th, it was announced he would not compete due to illness. The expectation was that the bout would be rebooked for sometime in the near future, and following an initial report from Combate , MMA Fighting‘s reporting the fight’s now set for October 7th.
The latter report also says that Johnson has restructured his UFC deal, but no details were disclosed.
UFC 216 will go down in Las Vegas, Nevada, and will also feature Tony Ferguson taking on Kevin Lee for the interim lightweight title.
