Bellator 22 Results: Ben Askren Dominates Dan Hornbuckle to Win Welterweight Tournament

Ben Askren earned a unanimous decision over Dan Hornbuckle on Thursday in the main event of Bellator 22 to win Bellator’s season two welterweight tournament and earn a shot at 170-pound champ Lyman Good during the promotion’s third season that begins in August.

A two-time NCAA Division I champion and 2008 Olympic wrestler, Askren easily took Hornbuckle down and kept him there for the majority of the bout, peppering him with punches, snubbing his escapes, and avoiding several submissions to earn unanimous 30-27 scores.
