It looks like Patrick Cummin’s 2017 campaign may be over, as the light-heavyweight’s reporting he’ll no longer fight Corey Anderson as scheduled, at UFC 217.
The accomplished wrestler was booked to fight Anderson at the November 4th event, but recently Cummins reported via Instagram, that he’s battling a “mutant staph infection”.
“Durkin” is coming off decision wins over Jan Blachowicz and Gian Villante, in April and July respectively. It’s not clear yet, whether the UFC will look to find a replacement opponent for Anderson.
UFC 217 will go down at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
