Ovince Saint Preux Joins UFC 217 Card

UFC 217

Ovince Saint Preux will be fighting in approximately two weeks time, as the UFC’s announced he’s agreed to step up and fight Corey Anderson at UFC 217.

The opportunity materialized as a result of a staph infection Patrick Cummins has been battling, who was originally scheduled to fight Anderson.

OSP (21-10) fought just last month, at UFC Fight Night 117, and quickly choked out Yushin Okami. The 205 contender has gone 2-3 in his last 5 bouts.

Anderson (9-3), meanwhile, is looking to get back on track after he was KO’d by Jimi Manuwa in his last bout. The former TUF winner is 3-2 in his last 5 outings.

So, with the insertion of OSP, that should make for a very different bout stylistically, versus an all wrestler match-up between Anderson and Cummins.

UFC 217 will go down at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
