Conor McGregor was recorded using a homophobic slur at UFC Fight Night 118 earlier this month, and now the lightweight champ has apologized for the incident.
McGregor could be heard saying the slur while he was talking to his teammate Artem Lobov, following his loss to Andre Fili. The star hadn’t commented publicly yet on the incident, until McGregor appeared on Ireland’s “The Late Late Show”. During the interview, the fighter apologized for using the word, and McGregor also said he did not intend to disrespect the LGBT community.
