“Rampage” Jackson had talked about his desire to return to the UFC in the past, but on Thursday, Bellator announced it has signed the star to a new, multi-fight deal.
Jackson moved to Bellator from the UFC in 2013, but after a contract dispute, he returned to the Octagon for one fight. Eventually, a judge decided Jackson had to to return to Bellator, and since then, the heavy handed fighter’s gone 1 -1. The veteran fighter is 4-1 to date with the promotion.
In today’s official announcement, which didn’t include any financial terms, Jackson was quoted saying:
“I am excited for this new beginning and looking forward to an action packed 2018,” Jackson said. “I can’t wait to get back in the cage and put on exciting fights for both the ‘Rampage’ and Bellator fans.”
The press release also states that the 39 year-old Jackson is expected to fight again in early 2018.
