UFC Fight Night 120: Dustin Poirier Records Stoppage Win Over Anthony Pettis

Dustin Poirier took a big step closer to title contention tonight at UFC Fight Night 120, as the lightweight recorded a stoppage win over former champ, Anthony Pettis.

Following two, action packed rounds, Pettis tapped out in round three, after it appeared he incurred a rib injury.

In the co-main event, Matt Brown took out Diego Sanchez with a booming elbow in round one. Leading up to the fight, Brown had said tonight’s fight might be his last, but after the win, the welterweight contender said he’ll take some time to consider his future.
