After a controversial stoppage ended their first meeting at UFC 115 earlier this month, lightweights Matt Wiman and Mac Danzig are set to square off again at UFC Fight Night 22 on September 15 in Austin, Texas, according to Heavy.
In their first bout, Wiman secured a guillotine choke early in the opening round and referee Yves Levigne stopped the fight despite Danzig never tapping, believing he had gone unconscious. However, Danzig was fine and rightfully protested the stoppage.
Wiman (12-5) has now won two-straight and six of eight since appearing on The Ultimate Fighter 5 in 2007, while The Ultimate Fighter 6 winner Danzig (19-8-1) has dropped four of his last five.
UFC Fight Night 22 is expected to be headlined by Demian Maia vs. Alan Belcher, with the UFC Fight Night 22 fight card also rumored to include Ross Pearson vs. Cole Miller and Jim Miller vs. Gleison Tibau.
