Dana White recently denied that the UFC ever officially, proposed a bout between Tyron Woodley and Nate Diaz, and clearly, the latter didn’t care for these comments.
Recently there was talk that the UFC was looking at having Woodley and Diaz fight on December 30th, at UFC 219. Woodley proceeded to say that he had agreed to the fight, but he claimed Diaz was asking for more money. The welterweight champ also argued that the Stockton star was just avoiding a fight with him.
Well, at a media luncheon this week, White was asked about the rumored bout. The UFC President proceeded to claim that the fight was never actually tabled, and that rather, one of the promotion’s lawyers had unofficially inquired about the fight.
