Paul Daley Suspended 30 Days for Koscheck Punch, Fights Jorge Masvidal at Sept. 11 Shark Fights

Paul DaleyFormer UFC welterweight Paul Daley has been suspended for 30 days for his post-fight punch of Josh Koscheck after losing their contender’s bout at May’s UFC 113 in Montreal, according to Sherdog.

The suspension won’t impact Daley’s Sept. 11 bout against Jorge Masvidal at Shark Fights 13 in Amarillo, Texas, which the promotion announced on Tuesday after adding Daley to the stacked event late last month.

Daley (24-9-2), who will likely sign with Strikeforce after the upcoming fight, has won 5 of his last 6, rebounding from a unanimous decision loss to Koscheck and immediate release from the UFC with a third-round submission of Daniel Acacio in Australia in July.

A veteran of Bellator, Strikeforce, and Sengoki, the American Top Team-trained Masvidal (20-5) has won 3 of his last 4 fights.
