Vladimir Matyushenko Signs New Four-Fight Deal with UFC

Vladimir MatyushenkoDespite dropping his latest bout to rising contender Jon Jones, light heavyweight veteran Valdimir Matyushenko has signed a new four-fight deal to remain with the UFC, Matyushenko’s management recently confirmed.

Matyushenko (24-5) is 2-1 in his current stint with the UFC, pusing his win streak to three-straight with victories over Igor Pokrajac and Eliot Marshall before suffering a first-round TKO to Jones earlier this month in the main event of UFC on Versus 2.

The former IFL champ has won 11 of his 13 fights dating back to 2005, with The Janitor’s only other loss coming at the hands of current UFC contender Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.
