Antonio McKee is slated to make his UFC debut on January 1 in a lightweight matchup against Jacob Volkmann at “UFC 125: Edgar vs. Maynard 2” in Las Vegas, according to MMAjunkie.com.
McKee (25-3-2) signed a four-fight UFC deal in September after the 40-year-old defended the MFC lightweight title and avoided a promised retirement with a first-round TKO of Luciano Azevedo for his 15th-straight win.
Volkmann (11-2) was on the brink of being cut after starting with back-to-back losses in the UFC, but has rebounded for two-straight wins over Ronnys Torres and Paul Kelly.
The UFC 125 fight card is headlined by lightweight champ Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard and also includes Thiago Silva vs. Brandon Vera and Chris Leben vs. Brian Stann.
