Bellator 33 Results: Alvarez Stops Huerta, Askren Wins Welterweight Title

Eddie AlvarezBellator lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez scored a second-round TKO of Roger Huerta at Thursday’s Bellator 33 in Philadelphia, beating up the UFC veteran for the first two rounds to force a doctor’s stoppage in the non-title headliner.

In the Bellator 33 co-main event, season two tournament winner Ben Askren claimed the welterweight title with a unanimous decision over champ Lyman Good, while the card also featured wins by Rick Hawn and Wilson Reis.
