Jose Aldo vs. Josh Grispi Featherweight Title Fight Added to UFC 125, Roy Nelson Off Card

Josh GrispiA featherweight title fight between incoming champion Jose Aldo and challenger Josh Grispi is in the works for UFC 125 on January 1 in Las Vegas, according to Versus.

Previously the World Extreme Cagefighting title-holder, Aldo was crowned the UFC featherweight champion on Thursday when it was announced that the WEC would be merging with the UFC.

Aldo (18-1) scored a second-round KO of Manny Gamburyan last month for his 11th-straight win, while Grispi, who was set to face Erik Koch next month at WEC 52, scored a first-round submission of LC Davis in June to improve to 4-0 in the WEC.

Meanwhile, heavyweight Roy Nelson has been pulled from UFC 125 after Shane Carwin pulled out of their scheduled matchup with a back injury.
