Nick Ring vs. Riki Fukuda Set for February’s UFC 127 in Australia

The Ultimate Fighter 11’s Nick Ring is set to make his UFC debut against fellow newcomer and Japanese veteran Riki Fukuda when the UFC returns to Australia for UFC 127 on Feb. 27 in Sydney, according to CagePotato.

Ring (10-0) was a front-runner to win TUF 11 before a knee injury forced the undefeated Canadian to withdraw from the middleweight tournament after a controversial decision over eventual winner Court McGee in the quarterfinals.

Fukuda (17-4) is Japanese promotion DEEP’s reigning middleweight champ and has won seven-straight, including a notable victory over Murilo “Ninja” Rua, the brother of UFC light heavyweight champ “Shogun” Rua, last year.

The UFC 127 fight card is headlined by BJ Penn vs. Jon Fitch and also includes Michael Bisping vs. Jorge RiveraGeorge Sotiropoulos vs. Dennis Siver, and Carlos Condit vs. Chris Lytle.
