Georges St-Pierre, Josh Koscheck, and Mac Danzig earned record $100,000 fight night bonuses for their performances at UFC 124, while Jim Miller and Mark Bocek each scored $50,000 awards on Saturday in Montreal, UFC President Dana White announced following the pay-per-view event.
Despite ending in lopsided decision for St-Pierre, the welterweight champ and Koscheck claimed “Fight of the Night” honors after fans decided the award through an online vote for the first time in company history, while Danzig earned the “Knockout of the Night” with his first-round KO of fellow Ultimate Fighter winner Joe Stevenson.
Miller and Bocek split UFC 124’s “Submission of the Night,” as Miller forced up-and-comer Charles Oliveira to tap to a first-round kneebar and Bocek submitted Dustin Hazelett with an opening-round triangle.
UFC 124 drew a record crowd of 23,152 to Montreal’s Bell Centre for a nearly $4.6 million live gate.
