MMAFrenzy.com will have live results from tonight’s “UFC 125: Resolution” event in Las Vegas starting at 8pm ET, as UFC lightweight champ Frankie Edgar rematches Gray Maynard in the pay-per-view headliner.
The live UFC 125 results begin at 8pm for the untelevised preliminary card, followed by the ION-televised prelims at 9pm and the PPV main card beginning at 10pm.

UFC 125 Play-by-Play
CLAY GUIDA VS. TAKANORI GOMI
Round 1 – Guida bounces out of his corner to meet Gomi in the center of the Octagon. Constant movement from Guida in the opening minute as both fighters look to settle in. Gomi stays patient as both lunge forward with occasional punches before Guida connects with a head kick. Gomi misses with a loaded punch, then Guida looks for a takedown but Gomi slips away and they stay standing. Gomi picking his shots as Guida continues to bounce to the displeasure of fans. Guida throws another head kick and follows it up with a takedown into half guard, where the round ends seconds later. MMAFrenzy.com gives the close round to Guida 10-9.
Round 2 – Guida throws more punches to start the second and Gomi is down to trade. Guida shoots for another takedown, but Gomi scrambles back to his feet. Gomi continues to throw punches, but can’t get his timing down with Guida’s movement. Guida lands a right, but Gomi answers with a big knee that forces Guida to grab a takedown. Gomi escapes an arm triangle, but Guida slides on a guillotine, rolls over, and forces Gomi to tap.

NATE DIAZ VS. DONG HYUN KIM
Round 1 – No touch of the gloves for this one as Diaz quickly opens with punches and follows with leg kicks. Diaz moves forward with punches, but Kim scores a takedown into guard. Kim fends off Diaz’s submissions and connects before passing to side control and mount. Diaz quickly gets back to half then full guard and controls Kim from doing much damage from the top. Diaz eyes the arm and leg, but Kim escapes back to guard. Diaz loses his back, but attacks Kim’s leg and scrambles back to his feet before the round ends. MMAFrenzy.com scores the round for Kim 10-9.
Round 2 – Kim opens the second with inside leg kicks and lands with a right, but Diaz fires back. The exchanges continue before Diaz fends off a takedown, but Kim succeeds with a follow-up. Diaz more active with punches off his back, but Kim breaks free for some shots of his own. Diaz tries to stay active, but Kim gets his back. Kim can’t get him under control and Diaz reverses before they return to their feet and Diaz lands a few shots before the bell. The late flurry doesn’t save Diaz as Kim takes another round 10-9 to lead 20-18.
Round 3 – Kim continues to win the exchanges early in the third, but Diaz avoids the biggest shots and tries to take Kim down before clinching briefly and separating. After another exchange, Diaz stuns Kim with a knee in the clinch that referees Yves Lavigne deems illegal. The fight’s halted to give Kim five to recover and replays show it may have been narrowly clean, but Kim can continue and the fight resumes with no points lost. Diaz can’t capitalize on the restart and Kim reverses a takedown to take Diaz’s back. Diaz escapes back to his feet, but Kim sticks on. Diaz reverses and unloads to the body with time winding down. Diaz unloads punches, then knees the leg as he likely needs a finish, but Kim hangs on. Diaz steals the final frame 10-9, but MMAFrenzy.com gives the fight to Kim 29-28.

THIAGO SILVA VS. BRANDON VERA
Round 1 – Vera and Silva immediately clinch and trade knees and punches. They separate and Vera connects with leg kicks and more knees. Silva grabs Vera’s leg and scores the early takedown into half guard off the fence. Vera tries to keep Silva under control, but he gets free for several bursts of punches. Silva moves to side-control and unloads better ground and pound. Vera does his best to control Silva and cover up, but Silva batters the body and occasional shots to the head. Silva attacks the leg late, but Vera escapes and Silva finishes on top. Silva taunts Vera to stand after taking the round 10-9.
Round 2 – Vera opens up with leg kicks and connects with his hands to start the second and Silva fires right back before grabbing the clinch. Vera knees in the clinch, but Silva trips him to the ground again. Vera can do little from the bottom but control Silva, who eventually postures up to drop big punches. Silva stands, then jumps into half guard and unloads more ground and pound from the top. Silva smothers Vera and grinds with elbows, then breaks free for big punches. More of the same from Silva to go up 20-18 with another 10-9 round.
Round 3 – Vera catches a body kick and trips Silva down, but lets him back up. Silva blocks a head kick and clinches, then drags Vera down again and takes his back. Silva knees the thigh and gets a hook, then unloads punches before Vera controls his wrist. Silva breaks free with more lefts as the cage limits his options. Silva gets an arm under Vera’s neck, then goes back to teeing off on Vera’s head. Silva continues to maul Vera over the final minute to seal a dominant 30-27 win.
Before the decision is announced, the pay-per-view shows Vera’s badly broken nose suffered from Silva’s late flurry.

CHRIS LEBEN VS. BRIAN STANN
Round 1 – Leben and Stann touch gloves, and Leben moves forward with punches and leg kicks to start the action. Leben misses with a loaded punch, but tags Stann with an upppercut. They trade in the clinch, then separate and Leben catches a kick to the body but lets it go. Stann floors Leben with a right, but can’t finish him with ground and pound and Leben stands. Stann drops him again, but Leben survives and returns to his feet. Stann knocks Leben down for the third time and finally puts him away with ground and pound against the cage.

CHAMP FRANKIE EDGAR VS. GRAY MAYNARD
UFC Lightweight Championship
Round 1 – Maynard stalks forward, but Edgar opens first with a leg kick. Both look to find their range with jabs. Maynard drops Edgar with a punch, but Edgar springs back to his feet. Maynard keeps on the pressure and drops him again, then unloads punches on the ground. Edgar’s nose is bloodied, but he survives for now and stands before Maynard’s punches force him to look for a takedown. Maynard defends and hurts Edgar again with an uppercut then presses forward with punches that keep Edgar dazed. Edgar circles away and connects with a jab as he survives the round. Maynard earns a 10-8.
Round 2 – Edgar appears recovered to start the second and connects with combinations while avoiding Maynard’s slower punches. Edgar blasts Maynard to the chin with a right, but he stays standing as Edgar circles and picks his openings. Edgar gets inside with quick combos, then slams Maynard to the ground before they pop back to their feet. Edgar’s right connects again, followed by another before the round ends. MMAFrenzy.com has the second for Edgar 10-9, narrowing Maynard’s lead to 19-18.
Round 3 – Maynard stalks forward, but Edgar sneaks through another right and several kicks to the body. More kicks and quick combos from Edgar as Maynard struggles to pull the trigger. Edgar stuffs a takedown and connects with more punches. Maynard catches a kick and Edgar slips away. Edgar continues to get the better of Maynard on the feet, but Gray catches him again. Maynard kicks the leg, but Edgar fires back with a combo and kicks. Maynard catches another kick and gets Edgar down, but he scrambles back up before Maynard trips him back to the canvas. Maynard struggles to keep him down and Edgar grabs a guillotine, but runs out of time. MMAFrenzy.com gives the round to Edgar 10-9, evening the fight at 28-28.
Round 4 – Maynard shoots in to start the fourth, but Edgar grabs a guillotine. He lets it go, but tags Maynard with punches against the fence then scores a takedown of his own. They return to their feet and Edgar looks the fresher of the two as he shrugs off a takedown and lands a combo. Edgar stuffs another takedown and Maynard looks frustrated as he struggles to connect. Edgar earns another takedown and punches Maynard’s face against the cage before standing and separating a clinch. Edgar avoids Maynard’s punches and continues to tag him with combos over the final minute to take another round 10-9, putting him up 38-37 on our card.
Round 5 – Edgar circles and lands a body kick and jabs to start the final round. Maynard stays in the center of the cage as Edgar circles around and fires punches. Maynard lands a good combo of his own, but Edgar stuffs a follow up takedown and lands a knee. Maynard grabs Edgar’s head, but can’t do anything and they circle again. They go back-and-forth with shots, but neither can get the other down. Edgar pepper Maynard with punches into the final minute, but Maynard connects with his own. Edgar stuffs another shot and grabs Maynard’s next, but lets it go and they trade wild punches to finish the fight. MMAFrenzy.com scores the fifth 10-10, leaving Edgar ahead 48-47.
