UFC 125 Medical Suspensions: Frankie Edgar Among Nine Suspended

Frankie EdgarUFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar is among nine fighters from Saturday’s UFC 125 event in Las Vegas who have been issued medical suspensions by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

Edgar was suspended until July 1 for a nasal fracture suffered in his main event draw against challenger Gray Maynard, who was also suspended until Feb. 1.

The complete list of UFC 125 medical suspensions includes:

  • Frankie Edgar: Must have nasal fracture cleared by doctor or suspended until July 1; minimum suspension until March 3
  • Gray Maynard: Suspended until Feb. 1 for facial lacerations
  • Chris Leben: Suspended until Feb. 16
  • Brandon Vera: Much have nasal fracture cleared or suspended until July 1; minimum suspension until March 3
  • Marcus Davis: Much have nasal fracture cleared or suspended until July 1; minimum suspension until March 3
  • Josh Grispi: Much have jaw cleared or suspended until July 1; minimum suspension until Feb. 16
  • Phil Baroni: Much have nasal fracture cleared or suspended until July 1; minimum suspension until March 3
  • Diego Nunes: Suspended until Jan. 23 for left eye contusion
  • Greg Soto: Much have left shoulder cleared or suspended until July 1
