Phil Davis vs. Matt Hamill Targeted for UFC 129 in Toronto

Phil DavisRising light heavyweights Phil Davis and Matt Hamill will look to move closer to 205-pound title shot when the wrestling standouts are expected to clash on the pay-per-view main card at “UFC 129: St-Pierre vs. Shields” on April 30 in Toronto, MMAjunkie reports.

Davis (8-0), a four-time All-American and D-I champ, faces a step up in competition after going 4-0 in the UFC with wins over the likes of Brian Stann and Tim Boetsch, while Hamill (10-2), a three-time D-III champ, topped Tito Ortiz in October for his fifth-straight win.

The UFC 129 fight card has also added middleweights Jason MacDonald vs. Ryan Jensen and welterweights Brian Foster vs. Sean Pierson.

UFC 129 is headlined by welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre vs. Jake Shields and also features Randy Couture vs. Lyoto Machida
