UFC Fight for the Troops 2 Medical Suspensions: Dunham, Mitrione Among Five Suspended

Matt MitrioneMedical suspensions have been handed down from Saturday’s “UFC Fight Night 23: UFC Fight for the Troops 2” event at Fort Hood in Texas, with Matt Mitrione and Willamy Freire sidelined indefinitely.

Evan Dunham, Tim Hague, and George Roop each received 30-day suspensions after suffering knockout losses, while the rest of the card picked up mandatory eight to 10-day suspensions, according to MMAjunkie.

The UFC Fight for the Troops 2 medical suspensions handed down by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation were:

  • Evan Dunham: Suspended until Feb. 22 for TKO loss
  • Matt Mitrione: Suspended indefinitely until cleared by doctor for injury to second metacarpal in left hand
  • Tim Hague: Suspended until Feb. 22 for TKO loss
  • George Roop: Suspended until Feb. 22 for TKO loss
  • Willamy Freire: Suspended indefinitely until cleared by doctor for injuries to right-hand and right-cheek
