Carlos Condit Out of UFC 127 Fight with Chris Lytle

A knee injury has forced Carlos Condit to withdraw from his UFC 127 matchup with fellow welterweight contender Chris Lytle that was slated for the Feb. 26 pay-per-view main card from Sydney, Australia, first reported late Wednesday.

Condit (26-5) has won three-straight over Jake Ellenberger, Rory MacDonald, and Dan Hardy after the former WEC champ dropped his UFC debut to Martin Kampmann, while Lytle (30-17-5) has won four-straight, including recent wins over Matt Brown and former champ Matt Serra.

At this time, a replacement has yet to be announced to face Lytle on short notice.

The UFC 127 fight card is headlined by welterweight contenders BJ Penn vs. Jon Fitch and also features Michael Bisping vs. Jorge Rivera and George Sotiropoulos vs. Dennis Siver.
