Phil Davis vs. Jason Brilz Targeted for UFC 129 in Toronto

Phil DavisAfter Matt Hamill was pulled from UFC 129 to face Quinton “Rampage” Jackson at UFC 130, rising light heavyweight Phil Davis is now expected to face Jason Brilz and the April 30 event in Toronto, according to MMAjunkie.

Davis (8-0), a D-I wrestling champ at Penn State, improved to 4-0 inside the Octagon with a “Submission of the Night” win over Tim Boetsch in November, while Brilz (18-3-1) is coming off a controversial split decision loss to Antonio Rogerio Nogueira that earned “Fight of the Night” honors in September.

The UFC 129 fight card is headlined by welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre vs. Jake Shields and also features featherweight champ Jose Aldo vs. Mark Hominick and Randy Couture vs. Lyoto Machida.
