The UFC has confirmed the pay-per-view main card for “UFC 130: Edgar vs. Maynard 3” on May 28 in Las Vegas, which is headlined by a third meeting between UFC lightweight champ Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard.
“The last time Gray and Frankie fought, they put on one of the best fights of the year,” UFC President Dana White said in a release. “It was the draw no one really complained about. I think a lot of people saw in that fight that Frankie Edgar is the real deal. This is the third and last time these two will come together and the stakes have never been higher.”
Filling out the UFC 130 main card is light heavyweights Quinton “Rampage” Jackson vs. Matt Hamill, heavyweights Frank Mir vs. Roy Nelson and Stefan Struve vs. Travis Browne, and middleweights Brian Stann vs. Jorge Santiago.
Confirmed for UFC 130’s preliminary card are welterweights Thiago Alves vs. Rick Story and bantamweights Miguel Torres vs. Brad Pickett.
UFC 130 tickets go on sale to UFC Fight Club members on March 17, UFC newsletter subscribers on March 18, and the general public on March 19.
