Todd Brown Released by UFC After Back-to-Back Losses

Todd BrownAfter back-to-back losses, light heavyweight Todd Brown (15-3 MMA, 0-2 UFC) has been released by the UFC.

MMAJunkie today confirmed Brown’s UFC release with his management team.

Brown made his UFC debut at UFC 117 this past August with only two weeks notice. Stepping in for an injured Thiago Silva, Brown lost a unanimous decision to Tim Boetsch. Brown, prior to his UFC debut, was riding on a seven-fight win streak in regional promotions.

“The Bulldog” was granted with a shot at redemption when he squared off with Igor Pokrajac at UFC on Versus 3. The Croatian proved to be too much for Brown as he succumed to a quick TKO loss in the first round.

The Indiana native is currently considering offers from various regional promotions and is also contemplating a move down to the middleweight division.
