The Ultimate Fighter 13 returned to Spike TV on Wednesday with its third episode featuring the season’s third opening round matchup between the welterweights cast coached by heavyweight contenders Brock Lesnar and Junior dos Santos.
With Team Lesnar in control after last week’s win by Chris Cope, Brock Lesnar choose top-pick Len Bentley to face dos Santos’ second choice Ryan McGillivray.
Following a rough wrestling training led by Lew Polley that causes some tension between the coaches, undefeated Justin Edwards joins the squad in place of Keon Caldwell, who chose to leave last week.
Meanwhile, Lesnar must clarify his comments calling them “chicken [expletive]” before last week’s fight, thn questions the focus of Bentley, who tattles that Cope is spending a lot of time with the other team despite his impeding fight.
It’s fight time and McGillivray edges Bentley for a majority decision after two exciting, back-and-forth rounds to put Team dos Santos back in control.
