TUF 13 Finale Medical Suspensions: Kingsbury, Cope, and Downes Out Up to Six Months

Kyle Kingsbury, Chris Cope, and Danny Downes could be sidelined until December, as the trio were among ten fighters issued medical suspensions by the Nevada State Athletic Commission on Monday following bouts at Saturday’s The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale in Las Vegas.

The Ultimate Fighter 13 medical suspensions included:

  • Ramsey Nijem: Suspended until July 20 for precautionary reasons
  • Tim Credeur: Suspended until July 5 for precautionary reasons
  • Kyle Kingsbury: Suspended until Dec. 2 unless cleared by doctor for left orbital fracture; minimum suspension until July 20
  • Fabio Maldonado: Suspended until July 20 for right eyelid laceration
  • Chris Cope: Suspended until Dec. 2 unless cleared by doctor for thumb injuries
  • Danny Downes: Suspended until Dec. 2 unless cleared by doctor for right hand and left shoulder injures; minimum suspension until July 20
  • Josh Grispi: Suspended until June 26 for body shots
  • Shamar Bailey: Suspended until July 5 for right cheek laceration
  • Justin Edwards: Suspended until July 5 for tough fight
  • Ken Stone: Suspended until Aug. 4 for precautionary reasons
