Two new names have been added to the UFC 135 fight card as middleweights Tim Boetsch (13-4) and Nick Ring (12-0) have agreed to face each other at the September 25 event in Denver, the UFC announced today via Twitter.
Boetsch defeated Kendall Grove by decision in his middleweight debut at UFC 130. “The Barbarian” previously competed at light heavyweight and compiled a 3-3 record in the UFC at 205-pounds with wins over David Heath, Michael Patt, and Todd Brown.
Ring is undefeated in the Octagon after a stint on the 11th season of “The Ultimate Fighter.” Ring defeated Riki Fukuda by decision at UFC 127 and submitted James Head at UFC 131.
UFC 135 will be headlined by a light heavyweight title bout between champion Jon Jones and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, as well as a welterweight battle between Matt Hughes and Diego Sanchez.
