you know the csac really takes the cake. i cant believe they would do something like that. does anyone know if there are waivers in the csac for prescriptions like that i mean its not likes its steroids or anything but i understand they say it is a pain reducer but thats only when youre high i cant believe that a fighter would show up high to a fight with a slow reaction time it gives you that would be stupid. so i think this is a bunch of crap. i hope that something happens to these guys. you cant just go pulling people based off of assumption Ass u me do i need to say more.

I just dont get it.

Most pot-heads cant get off the couch, let alone into the octogon.

Athletic Commisions need to change the rules a bit.

If nick diaz can blaze and then not only fight, but win??? Then i applaude him.

I dont think pot enhances anyones performance in anything.

Why is weed even part of the discussion for testing athletes. Tests should be for performance enhancers only. If a fighter has alcohol, weed, cocaine or whatever else recreational in his blood it should between his promoter/org and the fighter. Let’s start testing for tobacco and caffeine as well.

Nick’s prescription DOES make it okay in the state of California. However, Federal laws are different. I don’t want to get into laws but your comment was wrong. Prescription+California laws= smoke all you want with no legal repercussions. I find it unfair and ridiculous he has been pulled from this fight. Especially in the Bay Area! Nick is local favorite and I am pretty sure 50% or more of the paid attendance will have smoked marijuana or be accompanied by marijuana smokers. Around here, marijuana is no big deal. Not with the law, cops, community or people. I love how this event fell into shambles. I always here people saying the UFC is going down for this and that reason. RUBBISH! Strikeforce can’t even hold an event together and elite xc’s pride and joy is Kimbo street fighter Slice. I love mma but these other promotions f up left and right.

nick is a top fighter and should not have been pulled from the show,these people who take the moral high ground make me sick, he wasnt even tested so how can they not let him fight.

PS i know he had a prescription for medical marijuana but that does not make it okay…here are things we can buy a GNC and you can’t take in pro sports (ask sean sherk)…weed is not as bad as roids but still he should lay off the weed…

Man i really like nick but it seems like he asks for it. Between the punching riggs while they were both in the hospital, the getting the gomi win pulled from him for weed, the flipping everyone off for the cut stoppage in the noons fight and now this. I don’t know if the should have just pulled him off the card they way they did but come on bro lay off the weed and keep a cool head. This guy could be doing so much better and make so much more money if he just played the game alittle better. To bad but i know if he will ever again be a top 5 light weight again.
