Emerson Out, Clementi In At UFC 84

By: Kris Karkoski | Apr 23,2008

From UFC.com:

Lightweight contender Rich “No Love” Clementi is taking no time off after his three round win over Sam Stout at UFC 83 last Saturday. Instead, the pride of Slidell, Louisiana will be back in the gym preparing for a May 24th bout against UK rising star Terry Etim on the star-studded UFC 84 card at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena. Clementi replaces Rob Emerson, who was forced to withdraw from the bout against Etim due to injury.

ya, i’d rather watch a busted up clementi fight than emerson. i dunno why that guy was hyped up on the show, i’ve yet to see him do well.

Clementi really seems to have his shit together since he went down to 155lbs. He looked awesome against Guillard and Stout was fighting to stay in it from the moment the first bell rang.

Clementi is bad ass. I am starting to have another favorite fighter. Too bad 7 out of 10 of my favorite fighters are Light Wieghts. Emerson is a f-n dork. I think he is amongst the TUF busts.

Clementi is on a real hot win streak right now. His experience is really paying off for him now (he has like over 50 fights).

clementi seems to have had a ‘moment of clarity’ as of late…like a burden of sorts has been lifted from him…2 UFC cards in a row??? awesome shit…THAT is what separates the good, from the GREAT…i like this guy…
