Penn vs. GSP II? I love BJ but he cant match up with George. I say stay at 155 and dominate BJ.
We’ll see, I know the new BJ is eager to fight and collect some belts but I agree he should take it in stride. I was sitting on the edge of my seat, but feel so great that BJ won tonight. I loved the “steriods” chant. I’m very happy Sherk, the steriod shark got what he deserved. He is a disgrace to the displine of the arts.
BJ cant match up with GSP, I have to disagree. If BJ trains like he did for the fight tonight he wins. GO AXE MURDERER!!!!
St. pierre is going to dominate Fitch. Penn’s flying knee to the face of Sherk was a great way to end a ppv. Kongo vs Lesnar > make it happen

BJ sounds like a fool calling out GSP, he lost his last two fights in 170lbs,I think 155 is the right weight for bj. Maybe if he can win a couple fights in 170lbs first then he could get another shot at gsp. Dont get ahead of yourself bj
GSP will dominate Fitch?? Thats is going to be an amazing fight and if GSP doesnt watch it, he could easily get KO’d by Fitch’s power.
Let BJ take one more shot at 170… if he loses again, only then should he stay at 155.

BJ needs to stay where he is and shut his mouth, next time he fights GSP he’s gonna get destroyed, GSP has his number now and if BJ wants to stay on top of the world he needs to stay at the 155 division and leave the big boys alone. He won’t even make it out of the 1st round next fight with GSP let alone try and make a stale mate of a decision.
Dominate the 155 for a year then maybe think about moving up again. But not until he’s had a couple defences against some good competition like Huerta, even Florian, and I’d like to see BJ fight against Guida even, or Tyson Griffon would be a good match up they are true fighters who don’t know how to give up!!! Make it competitive there’s enough of them!
Nobody @ 155 can hang with BJ, sorry. I do want to see him smash Florians face in though. The only way BJ loses at 155 is he reaches about 40 years old, or he gets so bored and goes back to lazy BJ. He is just too big and powefull at 155 for guys like Huerta and Florian imo. I say 1 or 2 more fights, and bring on GSP. I don’t care what anyone says, GSP will not “destroy” Penn. Penn may or may not win, but it will be a great fight.
how anyone could say that bj penn would get destroyed is beyond me the guy is a freak that almost beat gsp in there 1st fight when he was half assin his training bj has all the tools needed to beat gsp his takedown defence is like no other and even if gsp takes him down bjs proven that gsp cant inflict damage from his guard and bj stood up at will when he was taking down and bj was winning on the feet as evident by gsps face aftawards now wit all that said in a 5 round fight i gotta go wit gsp due to penns cardio (which although is vastly improved is still not where it needs to b to dominate a 5 round fight) in a 3 rounder im gonna go penn by tko in the 2nd… o and fitch vs gsp and kenflo vs huerta is gonna b the best card eva in the history of mma

HAHA Tito!! Your smart ass shirt served no purpose other than setting the stage to make Dana the happiest guy on Earth last night. I am so happy Tito lost. I like BJ a lot…a lot a lot. However, the LW division is filled with up and comers. I think Penn is the greatest guy to have holding the title right now but like I said about St. Pierre, he is not invincible. Just out of curiousity, what do you guys think would happen with Fitch vs Penn? In any case, Penn should hold that title for a long time but Florian and Huerta are both very good opponents. Florian has a better chance in my opinion. The UFC champs are f-n badass mother f-ers.

quick correction, I believe randy is still technically the HW champ and minotauro is interim, but either way, the point remains the same. whoever it was that said watch out for fitch’s power? gsp has manhandled hughes 2 times and koscheck who’s also go good power. i see no way for fitch to beat gsp other than a lucky punch. as for bj vs gsp 2, i don’t know why anyone would use the word destroy. it was a controversial win last time and both fighters have improved since so i’d say it’s anyones guess. i don’t think i’d bet on either fighter. what i’d love to see is gsp move to 185 and dominate bisping! then i’d love to see anderson silva beat up bisping as well, then henderson can have his turn, and if wandy drops to MW, he can mop up lol. god i hate the count.
gsp will eventually move to 185 once there’s nobody left to beat at 170. I just hope it happens before Anderson Silva loses his title …then again, Silva may never lose his title. What a fight that would be.

Apologies….”interim” HW champ. Interim sounds like some sort of sick Croation sex torture and since Randy will obviously not be defending the title I figured Minotauro was the HW champ. I think Fitch is a big underdog but very underrated at the same time. I wouldn’t be surprised if he won but don’t think he will. You’d like to see anyone dominate Bisping not just GSP but that match up would be hilarious to me. Bisping wouldn’t stand a chance.
ya, i pretty much would love to see anyone pummel the count. unfortunately, i don’t see that happening anytime soon since they continue to give him pretty easy fights. i’m pretty sure bisping must have pics of dana blowin some guy in order to get all this special treatment. i was lookin forward to leben goin at it but we all know how that went. hopefully with a win in his next fight, they’ll take a chance and put him against hendo or franklin even. i’m pretty sure either one of those guys would handle him.

tito may have pushed the pace but he just couldnt land anything or get a takedown. i thought 30 27 across the board was fair because machida was only one who landed with anything.wand looked awesome but i wouldnt get too carried away as alexander did the same to jardine.

Penn vs St-Pierre = obviously a dream re-match right now, there both on top and in great shape but its gonna have to be an end of 2008 fight.
Whats BJ gonna do until December ??? I’ve heard of him wanting only 2 fights per year so he can extend his career for another 10 years.
I think bj should have at least one more title defence in 155, then move to 170, but not right to gsp maybe one warm up fight before against another top 170. How the hell do these guys fluctuate there weight so much, I heard that bj has fought 205 before in pride, is this right?

BJ fought heavyweight in pride against Machida. Anyhows I think BJ gets destroyed by GSP. In their first fight Penn accidently gave a thumb to the eye of GSP and for the rest of the round he had blurry vision. Couple that with getting your nose broke and your face pummled because of blurring vision and anyone can lose that round to a game BJ Penn bad. Then he came out and did the only thing he could, take BJ down. Now that also gives HUGE credit to GSP’s takedowns that he was able to take BJ to the ground almost at will in that fight. But without an eye poke and now that GSP has an even better training camp and is a better fighter than he was GSP will pick apart Penn. It’ll end in 3
I see it as this. Penn was a phenom 5 years ago, and he still is. At 155 he is king (although I do think if Sherk too kthis fight to the ground he could have done much better, or at least kept trying to take the fight to the ground)at 170 Penn is really good. But I think guys like Fitch, GSP and maybe even Koscheck would be tough for him. Those guys are big and fast, the two things that Penn wont be at 170.
I agree sherk should have tried to take hime down more thats his game and he didnt go with it. try to take him down once then give up on it?…dumb his boxing wasnt working
I am not a Bisping super fan, but I don’t think the UFC has been trying to give him easy opponents either. They gave him a few to start off with but Forrest and others have both fought Elvis Sinosec, And the Matt Hammill fight had to happen because of their history on the show. Rashad isn’t exactly a nobody in the 205lb division so he hasn’t been fighting complete bums. Charlse Mcarthy was a logical choice for his first fight at 185 and for just coming off of a loss.
