Villasenor, Rogers, Diaz, and Feijao Added To November 8th EliteXC Lineup

Joey Villasenor, Brett Rogers, Nick Diaz, and Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante have been added to the fight card for EliteXC’s November 8th event.
No location or venue have yet been announced for the event, which will air live on Showtime.
MMA Junkie reported the additions to the lineup on Tuesday.
Villasenor may take on EliteXC middleweight champion Robbie Lawler in the main event of the card while opponents have not yet been determined for Rogers, Diaz, and Feijao, all of whom are positioned near the top of their respective divisions.

It is very weird……When the UFC announces a specific fighter is going to be on their card I usually jump for joy and get excited. When Elite announces a specific fighter is going to be on their card I feel like, “oh….ummm….yeah”
Maybe the opponents will give me a change of heart.

Its because unlike the UFC,XC is just giving appearance information not fights. Diaz-Noons is a story.Kimbo-Rogers is a story. Anything else is a booksigning at a Carwash…
I am excited to see feijao though. I think this guy might have big potential.

Obviously the best 2 Middleweights in Elite (Shamrock & Le are Strikeforce) should be a great fight.
I hope Elite put on Rogers vs Thompson (doubt it) as Rogers KO’s old glass chin with in a round to show how rubbish Kimbo really was in his fight with Class Chin

I agree Wolf. Thompson would be a good fight for Rogers. I bet he wouldn’t KO him as quick as you think though.

hahaha, to the guy obsessed with the caps lock button.. i’m not knocking the community. i’m knocking the actual lacking of news this site has. this site is quick to post when it comes to their opinions about how a fight went down in their eyes, but when it comes to actual rumors and tidbits and useful information.. they wait until everyone else posts it first. i just wish they’d be more on top of it as i enjoy visiting this site, the layout/presentation, etc. constructive criticism, guy.

I don’t know what the UFC has to say about Nick Diaz leaving, but his brother made a statement about Nick leaving because of a lack of respect from the UFC. I know Nick Diaz resented seeing a guy win the Ultimate Fighter show and go right to s=a title fight after he worked so hard to get one and got passed up. I enjoy watching Nick Diaz. He might not be much of a stand-up kind of guy, but he’s a terrific fighter. Other promotions have great fighters too, not just the UFC. The sport is MMA not UFC. Nick Diaz is as good as they come.

For the most part this is a very knowledgeable MMA community. Kris has set this site up in its own special way making it a hardcore MMA fans favortie site. Other sites/communities are full of ridiculous posts….mostly OPINIONS based on lack of knowledge. Just my opinion. True, sometimes news arrives slow but this is a great site and we get all the good news eventually anyway.
