Dana White: Anderson Silva Won’t Headline UFC’s FOX Debut on Nov. 12

Anderson SilvaUFC middleweight champ Anderson Silva won’t headline the UFC’s debut on Fox on November 12 even if he emerges victorious and unscathed from his rematch with Yushin Okami in Saturday’s UFC 134 main event, UFC President Dana White said Thursday.

“Not true,” White told MMAFighting about the rumored plan. ” If he goes out and wins in 13 seconds he’s not considered for the Fox show.”

Earlier in the week, UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta seemingly confirmed that the UFC hoped to have Silva rematch Dan Henderson in the Fox main event if “The Spider” could make the two-and-a-half month turnaround.

Now, the UFC on Fox event remains without a main event or co-headliner for the one-hour special on Nov. 12 as White and UFC wait until after UFC 134 before finalizing the matchups.
