Mark Hominick will look to bounce back from a 7-second KO when he returns to the Octagon against fellow featherweight Eddie Yagin at UFC 145, while lightweights Matt Wiman and Mark Bocek are also scheduled to square off at the March 24 event in Montreal, Canada, the UFC announced today.
Hominick (20-10) suffered a 7-second KO to Chan Sung Jung last month at UFC 140 for his second-straight loss after coming up short against UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo at UFC 129 in April, which followed five-straight wins for the Canadian. Yagin (15-5-1) dropped a unanimous decision to Junior Assuncao in his Octagon debut at UFC 135 in September after winning 7 of his last 8 fights.
The Canadian BJJ specialist Bocek (10-4) bounced back from a UFC 129 loss to lightweight contender Ben Henderson with a unanimous decision over Nik Lentz at UFC 140, while Wiman (14-6) topped Mac Danzig for the second time at UFC on Versus 6 in October for his fourth win in his last five bouts.
