A featherweight matchup between former title challenger Mark Hominick and Eddie Yagin has officially moved to UFC 145 on April 21 in Atlanta after its original March event in Montreal was recently scrapped, the UFC announced today.
Hominick (20-10) suffered a 7-second KO to Chan Sung Jung last month at UFC 140 for his second-straight loss after coming up short against UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo at UFC 129 in April, which followed five-straight wins for the Canadian. Yagin (15-5-1) dropped a unanimous decision to Junior Assuncao in his Octagon debut at UFC 135 in September after winning 7 of his last 8 fights.
Hominick vs. Yagin is the first matchup made official for the new UFC 145 date, but most of the fights scheduled for March in Montreal are expected to move to the April card in Atlanta.
