Sporting similar two fight win streaks in the UFC, bantamweight contenders Yves Jabouin and Mike Easton will now match up against each other at UFC on Fuel TV 3. The matchup will likely take place on the undercard of the May 15th event at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia.
Jabouin (17-7) will fight at 135 pounds for the third time, after making his debut in the new division at UFC 134 in August 2011. He has won both fights at bantamweight, winning both by split decision. The Haitian-Canadian has been fighting since 2001, but never sustained success at featherweight since making his WEC debut in October 2009. He now holds a 3-3 (2-1 UFC) record since that debut, winning all three fights by decision.
Easton (12-1) will fight for the third time in his UFC career, coming off of a win over Jared Papazian at UFC on FX 1 in January. The Alliance MMA team member will be fighting on familiar grounds, having fought in Fairfax five consecutive times from 2007 to 2009.
UFC on Fuel TV 3 will be headlined by a featherweight battle between Dustin Poirier and Chan Sung Jung.
UFC on Fuel TV 3 will also host a lightweight showdown between Donald Cerrone and Yves Edwards, while other announced matchups include Tom Lawlor vs. Jason MacDonald, and Thiago Silva taking on Igor Pokrajac.
