Another matchup for the rapidly filling up UFC on FX 4 card was announced, which coincidentally just so happens to be another welterweight battle. The day after three welterweight matchups were announced, another one was added to the card with Brian Ebersole set to take on TJ Waldburger at the June 22nd event. The event takes place at The Revel Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Ebersole (49-14-1) looks to continue his undefeated UFC run, after making his UFC debut at UFC 127 last February. The longtime MMA veteran made his organizational debut after having fought around the world for the previous ten years. Now at 3-0 in the UFC, the Indiana native who now fights out Australia hopes to continue working his way up the welterweight ranks.
He will take on Waldburger (15-6), who has experienced similar success since joining the organization in 2010. The Texan won his second consecutive fight after defeating Jake Hecht via first round armbar at UFC on FX 2 earlier this month. Aside from a loss to top contender Johny Hendricks, Waldburger has won the remainder of his four fights inside the Octagon.
UFC on FX 4 will be headlined by a lightweight showdown between two top contenders in Gray Maynard and Clay Guida.
