Bellator 62 Weigh-ins: Santos Overweight, Prindle wins Heavyweight Tournament by Default

Bellator 62’s weigh-ins took place today for tomorrow night’s card in Laredo, TX. Tomorrow’s main card will air on MTV2 and EPIX HD, with the local card airing live on The card will mark the start of the lightweight tournament

Tomorrow’s main event was supposed to be the culmination of the Season five tournament but the main event had to be scrapped after Thiago Santos missed weight. The first final between Eric Prindle and Thiago Santos ended after a brutal foul when Santos kicked Prindle in the groin. The rematch was supposed to take place last week but the fight had to be delayed with Prindle suffering from the flu. Santos was scrapped from the fight and Prindle was given the win and the chance to fight Bellator heavyweight champion Cole Konrad.
