UFC on Fuel TV 3: Korean Zombie vs. Poirier is now in the books, having gone down this past Tuesday (May 15) at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia. Today, the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation released the medical suspension information from the event (props to MMAJunkie for the list).
Taking home the lightest suspensions were Igor Pokrajac, Fabio Maldonado, Jason MacDonald and Kamal Shalorus. All of those fighters by Pokrajac suffered losses on the card; Pokrajac took home a controversial unanimous decision over Maldonado.
Sixty-day suspensions were handed out to main event competitor Dustin Poirier, as well as to his fellow main card participants Jorge Lopez and Jeff Hougland. Poirier lost to Chan Sung Jung by D’Arce choke in the fourth round, but took home a Fight of the Night bonus to soften the blow.
Jeremy Stephens and Johnny Eduardo, who fought on the main and preliminary card, respectively, were both suspended indefinitely for possible eye injuries. Both fighters can be cleared by a physician.
