Exciting Canadian fighter Guillame DeLorenzi has reached a deal with Bellator, and will now join the ranks of the promotions lightweight division. “Il Toro”, who has his sights set on earning a place in a future Bellator tournament, will look to string together some wins outside of the tournament format, possibly over the summer.
All I’m thinking about is collecting some victories and getting into the next lightweight tournament,” said DeLorenzi. “It’s a huge honor to be fighting with Bellator, and I want that belt.”
Amassing a career record of 9-1, the Canadian knockout artist has been on the inactive list since June of 2010, where he earned a TKO victory over UFC veteran Dale Hartt. The Tristar MMA product has only seen the final bell once in his career.
“I’ve been away from the MMA world for so long, it’s going to be great to get back into the cage and show the world what I’m capable of.”
