Undefeated sambo specialist Vitaly Minakov is coming stateside for the first time in his career after signing to Bellator. The Russian fighter is currently riding hot, coming off a banner win against UFC veteran Eddie Sanchez last week.
The four-time Sambo champion, who is 8-0 in his career with seven stoppages, will look to impress in Bellator’s heavyweight division, in hopes of winning the heavyweight tournament and earning a shot at division kingpin Cole Konrad.
“Becoming a Bellator fighter means that all my hard work in the gym and training has all paid off,” Minakov said. “It means myself and my entire team were working in the right direction, and we did everything right.”
