Justin Lawrence vs Max Holloway Booked for UFC 150

A featherweight tilt between TUF veteran Justin Lawrence and Max Holloway has been added to the promotion’s return to Denver for UFC 150.

Lawrence (4-0) is coming in hot off a stunning head kick knockout of John Cofer at The Ultimate Fighter: Live Finale in what was both a “Fight of The Night” and “Knockout of The Night” performance by the Black House product. An overall first-pick on TUF, Lawrence was heavily favored to win the show until he became another list on surprise sensation and season winner Mike Chiesa’s resume. As “The American Kid” has shown, the loss to Chiesa is in the past, and he is ready to make waves inside the Octagon.

Holloway (5-1) recently rebounded from a promotional debut loss to Dustin Poirier by beating the tar out of Pat Schilling over three rounds en route to a unanimous decision victory at the TUF finale. While the judges rendered, a unanimous 30-27 decision for they Hawaiian, many felt that score didn’t reflect the caliber of the beating he gave Schilling.

UFC 150 will emanate from the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado and is slated to be headlined by a lightweight title rematch Benson Henderson and Frankie Edgar.
