Francis’ Carmont’s recent submission victory over Karlos Vemola at UFC on Fuel TV 4 has seen the Tristar product awarded with a fight card slot in his hometown of Montreal. The Frenchman from the Tristar Gym will lock horns with TUF veteran Tom Lawlor at UFC 154 in Montreal, Quebec on November 17.
Carmont’s (19-7) UFC run has been a sterling 3-0, with his two most recent victories coming by way of second-round rear-naked choke. “Limitless”, a stablemate of the returning Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre, currently rides an eight-fight win-streak.
His opponent, Tom Lawlor (8-4), recently rebounded from a devastating loss at the hands of current number-one contender Chris Weidman to take out the veteran Jason MacDonald in May. “Filthy” will look to derail Carmont’s hype train and put together consecutive wins for the first time since 2009.
